My client is a growing Public sector Emergency services organisation , who are currently building a dynamic In-house IT team to deliver cutting edge technology services to the organisation.
The IT Architecture Manager will Define and govern how technical solutions are designed, configured and implemented as the Digital Technical Design Authority and a key stakeholder in an effective enterprise architecture practice.
Manage the IT Architecture team and maintain the digital technical architecture blueprint for the client.
Develop technical models and plans that identify opportunities for leveraging technology capability, in support of strategic business change initiatives and subsequent projects/ programmes.
Collaborates closely with Business Engagement and solution delivery teams and any development resources on all strategic technical and security aspects. Responsible for horizon scanning emerging technology and opportunities, with a focus on policing innovations
To be the professional lead for the development and documentation of the Digital Technical Strategy and associated roadmaps in conjunction with the Head of Digital Services.
To be considered for the role of IT Architecture manager , you will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level (Level 6) or equivalent, or have substantial relevant knowledge gained from direct experience in complex ICT environments
Substantial knowledge of ICT enterprise architecture principles gained through significant experience of solutions delivery in similar size organisations.  Formal specialist technical training in some, or all, of the following ICT systems; desktop, server, applications, databases, networks, telephony (or similar)
Practical knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, certified with a recognised framework such as TOGAF.
Experience of security accreditation, practices and standards within a policing (or similar public body) environment.
ITIL Certification (Service Management), or equivalent framework experience
Demonstrate significant experience of designing and architecting technical solutions within in a large complex multi-faceted organisation requiring enhanced security.
Able to have a broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
Demonstrate ability to think strategically whilst having a strong focus on ICT technologies and operational service delivery.
Demonstrate experience of translating user requirements into ICT solution designs
Able to take ownership of the solution design from inception to delivery to the end customer
Experience in leading and supporting other architects to deliver a cohesive end-to-end architecture
Ability to take the lead during meetings and help to drive governance and programme level boards with associated stakeholder management
 Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualisations.
Strong problem solving skills with ability to gather and assimilate information
Demonstrate a high level of communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to think ahead and anticipate/mitigate risks and find suitable solutions to issues
Demonstrate ability to manage teams of key stakeholders and suppliers with the flexibility to adjust approach and style accordingly.
Ability to positively influence others and lead change within organisations
