Application Support Engineer 
Fully Remote
£45K DOE + company benefits 

My client is a global company looking for someone who is able to be part of a team that builds and supports the main business systems including CRM, ERP, HR, website, and customer portals.

As an Application Support Engineer, your role will vary from: getting involved in software development, configurations, support, and administrative tasks. Your role as Application Support Engineer will be working as part of Business Systems team, you will maintain their application portfolio across a wide range of vendors, in-house teams and software as a service (SaaS) providers, ensuring all applications are run, maintained and available to business users.

Responsibilities as an Application Support Engineer will be:  

  • Extensive experience working within a Business Application's Support team, including detailed understanding of business applications to support business processes
  • Working knowledge of Financial apps
  • Ability to recognize and diagnose faults swiftly and efficiently
  • Day to day management of third-party application suppliers
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL in an Azure environment (or equivalent)

The desired skills and experience will consist of: 
  • ERP systems management / implementation
  • SQL Database Administration
  • Previous experience of Financial Apps
  • Sage x3
  • Sage payroll Cloud 50 & P11D, Sage 200, Sage 1000
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages
  • SQL report writing
  • Power BI designing data structures
  • Designing and supporting SSRS reports
  • Desire to learn and work with a variety of technologies
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
