Cyber Security Manager

Network IT is currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Manager to join our local authority client
 
This will be a 5 month initial contract, with 3 days per week expected onsite to work alongside the security analyst and infrastructure team.
 
In this role, you will be mentoring and managing a junior Security Analyst, within a wider infrastructure team managing the day to day IT environment.
 
Our client is working in an Azure / M365 environment, so it is likely that your experience will reflect the Microsoft Security stack with tools such as Sentinel and Defender, for any technical escalations that come your way. You’ll remain hands on with the security tooling and processes, whilst also contributing your knowledge towards strategy and architectural decisions.
 
Role: Cyber Security Manager
Duration: 5 Months
Rate: £450 per day
Status: Inside IR35
Location: Greater London, 3 days per week onsite
 
Key Skills:

• Previous Cyber / Security leadership or management experience, ideally within a public sector or local authority environment
• Knowledge of key security frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR and Cyber Essentials
• Technical skillset within the Microsoft Security Stack, including the likes of Sentinel, Defender and E5
• Ability to manage and mentor a junior security analyst, acting as a technical point of escalation when needed
• Able to support in the onboarding of an external SOC Partner
• General IT Security experience, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, SIEM, firewalls
• Able to contribute towards the security strategy for the next 2-3 years
• Able to commute to site 3 days per week
