My client is looking for a Software Integrations Project Manager to manage projects around the scoping and definition of work for improved data quality management and processes, business intelligence strategic projects and identity and access projects. 

The successful candidate will be working accross a number of projects including IT system integration into their STARS program, data migration and data integration. You will be required to be involved on integration projects which may involve business intelligence strategies such as power BI, snowflake and BOXI. 

You will be required to have excellent, clear experience in proactive stakeholder engagement.


The key areas of responsibility for the Software Integrations Project Manager are:

  • Leading significant and complex projects to deliver new services to meet the objectives in the clients Strategic Framework and local strategic plans. This will include managing the design, plan and delivery of the projects. This will involve developing and putting forward proposals for approval by the relevant senior management team or Authority
  • Providing comprehensive professional advice and cascading expertise on programme and project management to senior managers across IT Services, Professional Services and Colleges, to enable the successful delivery of individual
  • Leading the development and delivery of project management methods, in line with best practice in the industry for all projects, including the provision of innovative solutions and responsibility for the quality control and quality assurance of the methodology. Main duties
 
Software Integrations Project Management
Taking on the role of a Software Integrations Project Manager for the range of projects within the remit of the Project Office. This will involve the use of the Prince2 methodology as implemented by the Project Office and may involve the use of Agile methodologies. Leading and managing significant and complex projects across Professional Services is the major part of the post holders responsibility involving the following aspects:-
  • Using the Project Office Prince2 methodology and the use of Agile methodologies where appropriate
  • Setting up of project boards and project teams
  • Working with the executive and customers to assess and interpret customer needs and to define the objectives and deliverables of the project
  • Implementing stakeholder management and maintaining regular contact with stakeholders to understand requirements, generate and negotiate solutions and ensure these requirements are delivered
  • Forward planning of projects to ensure that other areas of Professional Services and the University are involved early enough to plan for resource requirements and clearly understand the resource and timescales required for them
  • Planning and managing the work of the project team to ensure compliance with the project
  • Assessing risks and maintaining logs of current issues and risks
  • Responsible for the monitoring of project budgets, delivery of projects on-time, within budget and of appropriate quality
  • Ensuring that all projects are fully costed, and funding approved in line with university procedures. Presenting proposals for approval to the respective senior management team and then, where appropriate, to senior decision-making committees 
  • Liaising with external suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods to agreed price and
  • Ensuring that correct procurement procedures are followed and that University budgetary regulations are adhered
  • Ensuring best value is obtained for all This will involve liaison with the Procurement Office, other corporate services and ensuring full option appraisal is undertaken.
  • Identify the impact on other projects and co-ordinates with other project managers to resolve issues
