Working for one of the UK's leading higher education institutes, as an IT Service Desk Technician you will be providing both 1st and 2nd line support to assist with the launch of a new HR and payroll system. Your main duty will be to ensure that the early life support is not impacted by IT faults, and that there is robust 1st and 2nd line support for the first 6 month of the new system going live.
The main requirement for this role is Service Desk Experience, where you have had exposure to a high paced, high pressured position, where you were able to resolve issues under pressure to a high standard.
This position is an initial 7 month fixed-term contract, where you will have a months' training on the new system, and the following 6 months, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support for the new system, as part of the wider Service Desk team.
Over the course of the contract, you will gain experience in a highly sought after area, and will make you potentially open to more opportunities further down the line with this organisation if you prove to be a good fit.
The successful candidate can also expect to receive a salary of up to £22,500.
