My Local Authority client based in Cornwall is looking for a Project Management Officer who can successfully hit the ground running.
The Project Management Officer will play a critical role as part of the Programme Team in making Council transformations possible. They assist in delivery of the corporate-wide change programmes, projects and improvement initiatives across the organisation, ensuring that individual programmes meet their strategic objectives on time.
The Project Management Officer will support the public sector organisation as part of a major and complex Directorate Transformation Programme. The directorate provides Support Services, Assurance and Strategic Support to the rest of the council, its family of companies and key stakeholders.
Key duties will include:
Supporting the development of business cases by analysing various data sets.
Analysing complex organisational data to identify key trends and messages to support the future design of the directorate.
Planning and delivering workshops with various key internal and external stakeholders.
Managing and progressing packages of work as required to support the programme.
Applicants should be qualified to Prince 2 level or equivalent and have knowledge of Project Management methodologies including experience of working in teams delivering business change programmes within the public sector.
Experience of supporting transformational change projects which include; organisational design, lean process and value stream analysis, complex data analysis and benefits development would be an advantage.
